It is to Cesar Manrique that MIAC owes its existence and popularity, meaning this worldwide renowned artist had the initiative of founding and setting out this museum in 1975. The museum highlights the artistic contributions of a plethora of international artists, but is also makes room for several collections owed to Canarian artists. The building hosting MIAC is also in itself a work of art, which is why visitors should also pay attention to it.
