Rancho Texas Park. In 1731, Canarian emigrants established the city of San Antonio in Texas. 40 of these emigrants were from Lanzarote. They were the first ascendants of the actual State of Texas, USA. The first mayor was a man from Lanzarote. Many Canarian descendants fought and died in the historic Battle of Alamo, together with Davy Crockett and Jim Bowie.
