The Lanzarote island offers its guests some amazing landscapes with lush vegetation and bizarre forms of petrified lava. This volcanic island is not very big so tourists can explore it in a day's excursion by car. Some of the most impressive landscapes include Taniche, a wide extension of black ash at the foot of a unique mountain, La Cueva de los Verdes, a system of caves of 7 km length that connects the sea with the volcano Corona. These caves were a perfect hiding spot for the island inhabitants from the pirates.
