Timanfaya National Park Volcano

Montanas del Fuego or Fire Mountains were born between 1730 and 1736 when more then 100 volcanoes erupted and devastated this part of the island, affecting several villages human settlements. The las Eruption took place in 1824, and because of low precipitation and implicitly low erosion processes in the area, the zone preserved its original aspect and landscape. In 1968 the area was declared National Park of Spain, Parque National de Timanfaya.
